Printed here, so it arrives in days.
Most art prints sold to Australians are printed on the other side of the world. Ours are made in Australia, which is the whole reason the timeframe below is measured in days.
The shop is not open yet. Artsby is still finalising its printer, so nothing on the site can be ordered today. This policy is published in advance so it can be read before it matters rather than after.
Delivery is included in the price
The price you see on a product page is the price you pay. There is no postage added at checkout, no threshold to reach and no surcharge for being outside a capital city. We have done it this way deliberately: a flat postage fee is a large fraction of a small print, and finding it at the last step is a bad way to end a good browse.
How long it takes
Two separate clocks, and it helps to think of them separately.
- Printing: your print doesn't exist when you order it. Production takes a few business days.
- Delivery: then it ships from within Australia, tracked.
Our printer's stated production and delivery time is 4–5 business days in total for Australian orders. We will publish our own observed average once we have enough real orders to have one — and if it turns out to be slower than the stated figure, we will publish that instead. Remote postcodes and the fortnight before Christmas are slower, and no amount of policy writing changes that.
Where we send
Australia, everywhere Australia Post goes, including PO boxes and parcel lockers. We are not shipping internationally yet. If you are overseas and want something, write to us — the printer has a network in other countries and we would rather quote you than turn you away.
Tracking
You get a tracking number by email when the print leaves the printer, not when you order. The gap between those two emails is the printing.
Packaging
Prints are sent unframed and protected for transit. We are not going to describe the exact packaging until we have held one — when we have, this paragraph will say precisely what it is.
Wrong address
Check it at checkout. Once a print is made it is made for that address, and a redirect is not always possible. If a parcel comes back to the printer we will resend it once you confirm the correct address — see returns.
