Your room, turned into art that fits it.
Drop in a photo of your wall. We read the colours straight out of it, find prints that agree with them, and let you hang one on your own wall before you buy — all without the photo leaving your phone.
No account. Nothing to install. About twenty seconds.
Your photo stays on your device. The colours are read in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere — you can turn off your internet and this still works.
What have you given us?
Add a photo and everything else appears here — the colours, prints that suit them, and a way to see one on your wall.
Your room’s colours
Pulled from the photo, sorted by how much of the picture they cover.
Prints in those colours
Ranked by how close each palette is to the one in your photo. Printed in Australia, delivery included.
See it on your wall
Drag it into place and size it to the room. Still nothing leaving your device.
A guide to proportion, not a measurement — the sizing page has the arithmetic for your actual furniture.
Or make one of your own
Two originals in your palette, generated on the spot. Free, and nothing is stored.
These are screen size, not print size. The model returns about 1024 pixels square — roughly 87 ppi on an A4 sheet, which looks soft on paper. Lovely for deciding what you want; not something to send to a printer. The prints in step 02 are drawn as vector artwork and stay sharp at any size. What you generate is yours — the terms say so plainly.
More: colour studies, the prompt, and other shops
Roughly how it would sit
Colour studies in your palette — to show the balance, not to be the finished art.
A screen is lit from behind. Paper isn’t — so prints always come back a little softer and less saturated than the version you fell for. Switch to As printed before you decide.
The prompt
If you would rather use your own image tool. It names your colours by hex, so the output matches the room rather than approximating it.
Or search the big shops
Searches built from your palette, on the marketplaces that ship here.
Now work out where it goes
The planner arranges your prints to scale and gives you every nail position.
Why colour, and not style
Because the thing that makes art belong in a room isn't the subject.
"Warm neutrals" is a few hundred colours
Describing your room in words loses the only thing that matters. The beige on your wall is a specific beige, and everything hangs on it.
We take the colours from the photo
Read straight out of the pixels, in your own browser. Nothing uploads. You get the exact values, not an approximation of them.
Exact colours in, exact colours out
Those values go into the prompt, or into a search. Either way what comes back relates to your room rather than to a general idea of your room.
Start from a style instead
If you'd rather begin with a look than a photograph.
Then work out where it hangs
Wall size in, to-scale layout and exact nail positions out. Also free, also no sign-up.
The Australian collection
Galahs, banksias, quokkas and a native nursery set — drawn for contemporary rooms and printed here. In development, and worth a look.
Which room
Where this comes from
Artsby earns commission when you buy through our links, and you should know how that shapes things. It doesn't change what we recommend.
We're careful about the difference between research and experience and we label which is which. The comparisons come from sellers' own published terms, read properly and dated. The tools are ours. We don't stage experiences we haven't had. Full disclosure here.
