Why this site exists

Buying art from Australia is oddly hard to get information about. The shops are all overseas, the shipping estimates are optimistic, and every "best places to buy art prints" article reads like it was assembled from the sellers' own marketing. Artsby is an attempt to fix that for one country in particular — by reading the fine print carefully, building tools that answer the practical questions, and being clear about what we do and don't know.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• We say where it came from. Every claim is either sourced to the seller's own published terms, with a link and a date, or to something we've used ourselves. Each page tells you which.
• We don't claim experience we don't have. No staged unboxings, no supplier press shots passed off as ours, no reviews of things nobody here has touched.
• Commission never changes a rating. The highest-paying programs in this niche are not always the best products, and where they conflict we say which is which.
• We publish the failures and the gaps. A tool that can't do what it advertises, a policy we couldn't get a straight answer on — that's the useful part.

How it's paid for
